Join this hands-on, 3-hour member-to-member workshop where you'll discover how to transform ordinary flash portraits into bold, cinematic, and high-impact images using gobos and gels.

Learn practical techniques to:

Project dramatic patterns, textures, and shadows with gobos for added depth, mood, and visual interest (think windowpane shadows, abstract overlays, or dynamic light shapes).
Apply colored gels creatively to introduce vibrant hues, complementary contrasts, dramatic rim lighting, or atmospheric backgrounds that evoke nightclub vibes, avant-garde energy, or editorial flair.
Combine gobos and gels with flash setups for layered, multi-dimensional portraits that stand out.

Rich Cirminello, CPP, is an award-winning commercial, fashion, boudoir, and portrait photographer based in Downtown Dallas, Texas. With over 20 years of professional experience, his provocative style blends glamour, beauty, fine art, and bold lighting to create magazine-worthy images that elevate brands, products, and individuals for publications, marketing, social media, and beyond.

Rich is also a dedicated educator and mentor. He frequently speaks at events, leads workshops on advanced lighting techniques, and helps photographers level up their craft through hands-on teaching, one-on-one mentoring, and online resources.

Maximizing Adobe Bridge with Terri Butler (ZOOM)

Did you know that you can customize workflows in Adobe Bridge. Batch process images to change format and size with just a drag and drop? If you publish images to multiple social media platforms in different sizes, this feature can be a game change.

You can launch Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) from bridge to edit your images and then move from ACR in to Photoshop. No need to keep a database current like in Lightroom.

Bridge is a robust file organizer like Finder or Explorer and has an advance search engine. The metadata panel allows you to do batch edits like renaming or inserting and changing metadata.

You can build custom export presets as well. These presets are also drag and drop to process multiple files at once.

The free Adobe application can significantly enhance your daily routines and speed up your workflows.

Known creatively as The Pixel Mixer, she specializes in transforming digital photographs into imaginative works of art through Photoshop, photo manipulation, and digital painting.

She purchased her first digital camera, a Nikon D90, in 2009, but her journey with Photoshop began in the early 2000s. Since the Mixer Brush was introduced in Photoshop CS5, she has been exploring its creative possibilities and using it as a key part of her digital painting process.

A lifelong student of Photoshop, she continues to study and teach advanced Photoshop techniques, photo manipulation, and digital painting. She also actively pursues image competitions, photo artistry training, magazine submissions, art contests, and other creative ventures that help her grow as an artist.

She is twice retired, having served 22 years in the U.S. Navy healthcare field and 20 years as an IT consultant. After retirement, she traveled as often as possible, but now spends most of her time in Texas enjoying photography, art, and teaching.

Her recent accomplishments include successes in photography, teaching events, and publications in Living the Photo Artistic Life magazine. She is also a member of both the AWAKE and KAIZEN art groups.

This class offers a practical deep dive into the technical and creative decisions that set commercial photographers apart. Kenny shares insights from his Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) journey, camera settings that serve real-world sessions, and what it takes to craft images that score. You’ll walk through his session workflow from start to finish and gain clarity on what elevates a photograph into a merit image.

Kenny Richard is a full-time professional photographer with 15 years of experience. From his early work with Airbnb to national recognition, his career is rooted in client care and technical excellence. A PPA Councilor, Certified Professional Photographer, Master Photographer and Craftsman Degree recipient, Kenny has earned multiple image awards, including IPC Diamond Photographer of the Year (Commercial), 2-time Dallas PPA photographer of the year and MPI Commercial Photographer of the year. He serves on the Dallas PPA board in his fourth year as president and is known for his faith-based approach and attention to detail.
