Integrating Pets Into Your Sessions
Margaret Bryant
Dallas PPA’s own Margaret Bryant, lets us in on the secrets of Pet Photography! She will share her tips on how to incorporate treasured family pets into your children, family, and senior photo sessions. It’s taken her years to perfect her reliable approach to getting amazing pet images, mainly focused around dogs, and now she’s ready to share her knowledge with us!
Join us as Margaret teaches us what she wishes she had known early on as a pet photographer, passing that information onto the Dallas PPA. Finessing those pooches to get their best look while showing their unique personalities is her specialty! Margaret is going to generously share that information, along with how to avoid some pitfalls among the pit bulls and more… see what we did there.
With most families owning a pet, no family photo will be truly complete without the family pet. She knows clients love their pets as a valued family member, and they want to include them in their milestone sessions. From children’s portraits to family portraits, and even senior sessions, clients want their beloved pet to be a central part of their photographic family history. Margaret will share her expertise on how to keep both your clients and their pets comfortable and get your sessions started off on the right foot, err paw!
During the meeting Margaret will demonstrate how to handle and pose the family pet while explaining her approach and thought process. She’ll provide you with the guidance you need for clients to feel comfortable bringing their beloved family member to be a part of their sessions.
Margaret regularly gives back to the local community by doing fundraisers for a variety of rescue groups. Her Bow Wow sessions twice a year raise money for several different pet charities. Margaret has also written three books on dog photography and attendees may have a chance to get her autograph. Margaret is the proud parent of Tunicate (Tuni), Joey Casanova, Lucy, and Atun who are all rescues.
Margaret is a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, Certified Professional Photographer, Educational Associate with the American Society of Photographers and a past president of the Dallas PPA.
