Pinups, Planes & Classy Dames

This event will take place Aug 9-11 at the Hanger Hotel. This is a classic 1940's style hotel and convention hall (an airplane hanger) is the perfect backdrop for our theme this year. We will have it all.
Starting on Friday with vintage planes and a presentation by Jay Miller.
Jay is one of the most accomplished photographers in his field. But wait you say, "I don't shoot planes or cars", let's think about this, if he can teach you to shoot a shiny moving car or plane, do you think that might apply to that 3 year old that won't sit still? Or maybe that family portrait, they want with their new car or camper in the shot because they are so proud of it.

Jay is currently chief contract photographer locally for Boeing, Bell Helicopter, American Eurocopter, Ezell Aviation, Leading Edge Aviation, Uniflight, and a number of others in the area. He is also on the photo staff of "Vintage Motorsport" magazine. He covers the Historics at Monterey (CA) for them every year.

Saturday will be Paul Ernest.  Paul will be teaching us classic Hollywood style shooting. Think George Hurrel, Alfred Cheney Johnston, and Norman Parkinson just to name a few. This is where those Classic Dames come into play.
On Sunday we will have Richard Sturdevant
Richard is a leading expert in photographic artistry and creative composites. Richard will be teaching us all the skills we need to shoot pin-ups and taking it all the way to print.

You will get 5 meals. Lots of time to play with models. We have the convention center and full run of the hotel. Then all of the training from three amazing photographers. Come rested up, because this is going to be 40 hours of learning, experimenting, and alot of fun. You will develop new friendships and photographs that will last a life time.

This is a baragin, if you are a member and sign up early it will only cost you $4.50 per HOUR!
