Increase Your Sales With The Addition Of A Fine Art Line
Presented by Maria Bernal
In this presentation, you will learn how to increase your sales by adding a fine art line regardless of your artistic ability. You do not need to learn or know how to paint in order to benefit from this program.
Personal: Born in Vietnam and raised in France, I moved to the United States from France in June of 1986. I started photography in 1978 with my first Nikkormat 35mm camera. I started developing my own film in the darkroom in 1979 (I was 8). My parents were huge influences on me, especially my Dad since he was an avid photographer as well. I grew up with music, art, and fashion so those are still today things that I find fascinating and are still have a huge impact on my life today. I have traveled the world, I have been on all 7 continents and have seen things that most people can only imagine and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I studied both Photography and Fine Arts in college and when I was done, I went back again and earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering too. Ha ha. Yes, I am a little messed up.
Professional: We moved from Arizona to Texas in October, 2006. My Cedar Park studio was completed in November,2007, that is when I officially became a Texas-based photographer. I am currently sponsored by several companies: FJ Westcott, BWC and Profoto to teach photography to both professionals and amateurs. I am best known for my lighting styles and that is what I teach the most. I am an active member of the Texas PPA and International PPA. Due to my achievements in the PPA, I was invited to join the American Society of Photographers, I was very honored to join this prestigious organization.
I am honored to have received many awards for my imagery and here are a few:
2013, 2012, 2011, 2010 PPA International Silver Photographer
2013, 2012, 2011 Texas PPA Top Ten Photographer
2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 Austin PPA Photographer of the Year
I am proud to say that I have received multiple Fuji Masterpiece awards, Kodak, and the prestigious ASP Image Excellence Award. My portraits have won Best Portrait Awards multiple times at SWPPA, Texas PPA, and Austin PPA.
One of the biggest honors, of my photography life, was to have the cover of Professional Photographer Magazine with one of my senior portraits and to have a six page spread/article on my senior images.

Judges at Dallas PPA are award winning photographers who have earned their Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and much more. Their success is a result of getting involved in PPA activities available for all of us. And guess what? When you compete, they kindly offer one-on-one advice on how to improve your print. All you need to do is ask.
If you are new to Print Competition, the safest place to start is at Dallas PPA. For more information about the different opportunities to grow, visit PPA's message: Why Participate.
