Animal Portraits Are Still Portraits

Kevin Dooley will show you how animal portraits are still portraits and the similarities of people and animals in their expressions. He will discuss the Great Pyramid of photography: The exposure triangle. Also, how changes in the exposure triangle match one another. What gear does Kevin use and why camera angle tells the story. If bad weather happens how it makes for great images. When traveling to nature rich areas how to choose the best-for-you safari provider. Lastly, there will be discussion on focus systems, understanding and anticipating animal behavior, continuous versus single shot, and the edict of wildlife photography.

Africa has always had a special place in Kevin’s heart. He thrives on sharing this amazing place with others. Teaching about the wildlife, the ecology, and the history of the wilds of Africa. Everything from the sunrise to the safari camps and the adventurous stories that are shared around the evening camp fires, hold a special place in Kevin’s heart. A place that he loves to share and encapsulate that experience with the travelers that accompany him.

Join Kevin Dooley May 14th at 7PM and learn how portraits of wildlife can show the human spirit!
