Wait, what? Clone painting is possible in Photoshop?! In short —YES! There is really no need to learn another software. Photoshop has a sophisticated painting tool built right in!
In this one day, introduction to clone painting workshop we will begin by setting up a custom painting workspace. Then we will load Michelle’s custom clone painting setup action as well as a few of Michelle’s favorite custom brushes. After spending a bit of time familiarizing ourselves with the mixer brush, we will dive right into clone painting! We will work through painting both a simple landscape as well as a portrait as time permits.
This is a HANDS ON course so please bring your laptop loaded with the most recent version of Photoshop CC (you will NOT be able to participate if your Photoshop is not up to date), Wacom tablet (Intuos4, Intuos5, or IntuosPro) — and while it’s not 100% necessary for this workshop, if you intend to truly develop your painting skills, you’ll want to invest in the Wacom Art Pen (different from the grip pen that ships with the Wacom tablets). You can find the Wacom Art Pen here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/735614-REG/Wacom_KP701E2_Intuos4_Art_Pen_w.html
With the simple clone painting techniques Michelle teaches, almost ANYONE can become a successful painter. It’s a great first step toward becoming a Photoshop Artisan!
